February – March

We always say “Febrero loco y marzo otro poco” this means crazy February and also March a little bit” this means the weather could be unpredictable, sometimes hot and then cold out of the blue, we even get some rain. But overall the weather is perfect and it´s a great month to visit. We have some tourists during this months it´s not a low season but it´s also not super busy like in December or November.

If you are coming during american holidays such as President´s day, try to book cool restaurants and tours in advance because we get a lot of tourism and some things might be sold out

COOL STUFF TO DO AND SEE

  • Splash of purple – The city starts to become purple in mid February until late March, we have many many Jacarandas and it´s a beautiful thing to see, specially at Condesa and Roma and around the historical center.
  • Valentines – The flower market it´s a beautiful thing to see, huge flower arrangements are on display for sale, and the crows flood the market aisles to get the best red roses for their loved ones.
  • Spring at Teotihuacan – you can welcome the Spring season at the Teotihuacan Pyramids, dress all white and hit this archeological site to say hello to the most beautiful season of the year, you´ll recharge your energy and live a magical celebration with many other people chanting and meditating.
  • Bahidorá festival – This is an amazing electronic music festival that happens at a magical jungle like town 1 hour away from Mexico City, imagine listening to music surrounded by trees and swimming in a beautiful lake filled with cristal clear water. They have camping and hotel areas so you can enjoy the weekend there, prepare your best outfits and hit this beautiful festival where you´ll connect with nature and escape the city chaos.
  • Vive Latino – this music festival happens in March, If you like Music this is one of the biggest and coolest festivals in the city, featuring bands such as Guns and Roses, The Cardigans, Gorillaz, Queens of the Stone Age, Rancid, The Prodigy and many latin american bands.
