As some of you know, I’m a textile designer and product developer with a deep and huge love for Mexican culture and design, especially the kitsch side. Definitely one of the things that I hate the most from this store is the fact that I didn’t create it…I WISH I DID!
Utilitario Mexicano has an extensive collection of useful simple and traditional everyday Mexican houseware ranging from glasses to stoves, aprons, jugs, pans, and carved in stone classic “Molcajetes” (the Mexican blender). You can also find great mezcal and different kinds of “worm salt”.
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL?
This store showcases classic objects that you can easily find at any traditional Mexican home. If you love functional objects with a simple design, this place is for you.
They have more than 1500 different objects, each one of them has a specific use and they are made to last.
